Event planning

A few of the weddings we have planned.

If you are trying to picture what any of this looks like in practice, this is the closest we can get to showing you. Some of these we ran from the first conversation through to the last guest leaving; on others we took one part of it, or came in near the end when somebody needed a hand. The photographs follow each day in the order it ran — the room as we left it, and then the room once everybody was in it.

A marquee wedding, from the church steps to the fire pits after dark.

A place setting down one side of a trestle table, a printed menu standing against foliage and amber glasses, the walled garden beyond the marquee
01The table dressed, before anyone sits down.
A bride and groom walking hand in hand from a church porch through confetti thrown by guests lining the path on both sides
02Out of the church, into the confetti.
Sharing bowls of roast vegetables, greens and chips set on a white cloth between glasses and a bottle of water
03Sharing bowls straight down the table.
Guests standing and applauding along both sides of the long table under strings of festoon lights, places still laid in front of them
04The whole table on its feet.
The marquee lit from within after dark with guests gathered at its open side, fire pits burning on the lawn and log seats set around them
05Fire pits lit, and the night still going.
