The venue

Westminster Chapel is a working chapel a few minutes from St James's Park, with a congregation that meets there every week.

The main auditorium seats a large audience, and through the week the building takes conferences, lectures, recordings and filming. The trustees hold the building; the commercial calendar is built around church use, not over it.

What we run

We handle every commercial enquiry that comes to the chapel — the first reply, the viewing, the quote and the contract — and we keep the diary against the church calendar, so a booking can never sit on top of a service.

We appoint and manage the suppliers, brief the technical crews who work in the main space, and staff and run the events themselves.

The trustees see the diary and the numbers in writing, and the terms we hold suppliers to are the terms they have seen.

The building in use

  • The galleried auditorium from the upper level, rows of seating facing a stage below the organ pipes
  • Round tables laid for a dinner beneath the lancet windows, flowers and glassware on pale linen
  • Rows of conference seating on the floor of the auditorium, exhibitor banners along the side and a stage at the front
  • The brick frontage from across the street, arched windows above the entrance under a stepped gable
